Alot has happened in the last 10 days! Lots to write about in my personal journal. My days were very busy then everything seemed to come to a stop and now am spending a few days reflecting on the events.
My daughter married last Saturday, June 5. It was a wonderful day with lots of family and close friends. The wedding was very reflective of them both which made the day so much more meaningful.
I was struck by the number of creative things they chose for their wedding. The location was a family home on the river, cheesecake was the dessert, flowers came from the gardens of friends, handmade invitations, friends who provided the music, and more. For me, I realized the impact of the creative activities I did with her as she grew up. She had spent a lifetime seeing the joy of the creative spirit and the memory encouraged her to create -rather than buy - for her wedding.
Have you ever wondered how your creativity influences others? Have you shared your creativity with another and seen that "lightbulb" moment when they understand the process? Have you been influenced by another's creativity?
How do you feel after reading a book, attending a performance, or viewing art? Does it excite you? Empower you? Lift your spirits?
Next time you see something that draws your eye, take a few minutes to write down that feeling so you can reflect on it as you examine your own creative spirit.
